Since I go to church at Area10 in Carytown, more often than not, we end up at The Daily Kitchen & Bar for brunch simply because we can walk there and they pride themselves on offering "foods that are not only delicious, but also health conscious, environmentally friendly and socially responsible, [using] organic, all natural, local and sustainable ingredients as much as possible while still keeping [their] prices fair," according to their website.
While I do appreciate the option to eat healthy, sometimes the flavor misses the mark, like with their dish pictured above. My southern roots(#godawgs), has me preferring a much more Cajun version of the crab cake than their citrus hollandaise, and I could have used a crispy crunch on the cake itself. Their house made hot sauce was delicious and did add a little something extra when I added it to this dish.
Overall I'd give this Carytown hot spot a B. B for food and B for service. It does have a fun atmosphere and their Brussel Sprouts for dinner are delicious!
