Today, my team did what we called, "staff development." Others may have called it a fast track to a food coma, but regardless, we got together, enjoyed the beautiful weather and experienced the delicious food scene in Historic Colonial Williamsburg. Who knew that hidden along Dog St, there were plenty of wonderful shops and eateries waiting to be enjoyed by tourists? We sure didn't! If you are interested in joining in on the fun later, check out the Taste of Williamsburg to reserve a spot for your group and enjoy the afternoon with your family or friends. Girls day, family reunion, sorority sisterhood event or even staff development--I think that everyone would enjoy this event!
One improvement I would have had for the experience would have been to give out index card type programs with a list of the locations that we'd be seeing so that: 1. we could remember them when we left and 2. we would know where we would be going in the future, so as to not overeat at each location. Luckily each stop is just a snack so it isn't full meals at each location.
Our tour guide was wonderful, friendly and gave us excellent information about each location before we ate our delicious treats.
We got to sample such delicious tastes and treats, no wonder I fell asleep on the car ride home, can anyone say food coma?
