My memories of s'mores as a child consisted of watching, The Sandlot and learning that one should, "take the graham, you stick the chocolate on the graham. Then you roast the 'mallow. When the 'mallows flaming... you stick it on the chocolate. Then cover with the other end. Then you scarf. Kind of messy, but good! Try some!"
Over time, I came to realize that I didn't love the burnt marshmallow taste and the chocolate never quite melted, so through my culinary experimentation, I developed a "scientific method" proven to give you the perfect s'more--as long as your don't rush and catch the mallow on fire. See below.
Place the chocolate and graham on the edge of the fire pit to melt the chocolate in preparation for the 'mallow.' Once the 'mallow' is golden brown, place 2 golden brown 'mallows' in between the melted chocolate, toasted Grahams and enjoy!
