Tonight we had our second annual classy family dinner during Richmond Restaurant Week. We wined and dined at Acacia Midtown on Cary St in the fan. We experienced lackluster service from both our server and everyone we interacted with, the restaurant was extremely noisy and the menu was all pretty much the same, plus the portions were much smaller than any other restaurant week location I'd seen! The duck confit and sweet potato gnocchi was amazing though--I'd recommend making a larger portion for an entree. The crab cake dinner was pretty delicious too. Dessert was tough, not your place for overly sweet things, unless you like Nutella.
I'd give the entire experience a B overall. Food gets and A- simply for portion sizes, (flavor was definitely there) and not my favorite wait staff in town.
